The “Oh Langurs, Oh Monkeys (Vooc oi, Khi oi)” program by GreenViet is a collaborative art initiative involving the Center for Biodiversity Conservation of GreenViet, the People’s Committee of Son Tra District, and the wards of Tho Quang, Man Thai, and An Hai Bac, all under the artistic direction of Tony Le Nguyen. After more than two months of preparation and rehearsals, the students of Hoa Mai Orphanage Center and volunteers from the Faculty of Arts at Da Nang University of Education are ready to present the creative performing arts program “Vooc oi, Khi oi” on International Children’s Day, as part of World Environment Day. The program includes four short plays: “Son Tra Beauty,” “Langur Family,” “Son Tra Discovery,” and “Son Tra Hero,” which depict the journey to discover the natural beauty and life of the Red-shanked Douc Langurs and Golden Monkeys on Son Tra Mountain. Through theatrical performances, the characters will embody and narrate the stories of the gibbon and monkey families, their lives, and the threats they face, providing children and the public with engaging and insightful knowledge and stories.
